When Omnivore needed to become PCI compliant at the same time as building out an Operations Infrastructure team, I put my hand up and said, “I’m your guy!” When the Virginia Tech Computer Science department’s Linux Mirror hardware died: “I can rebuild it!” When Rackspace Email and Apps was looking for someone to handle ordering hundreds of servers per month? My hand went up: “I can do that!” When my son’s den leader unexpectedly relocated, my hand was up again -“I’ll do it!”Jumping at opportunities has been a hallmark of my career. There’s nothing I like more than to jump into a new opportunity, figure out what has to be done, break it down into actionable steps, and then start ticking off boxes - or moving tasks across a Kanban board. I love that feeling of checking things off a list. I have a broad base of skills that I can bring to bear.
