Hood Container is a manufacturer operating in Bags Plastic Laminated, Coated and Cardboard in New Johnsonville, TN. My internship include both mechanical engineering and environmental engineering responsibilities. I took samples and performed tests to ensure that our wastewater remained within state requirements. I preformed test on the clear water tank. On mechanical engineering side, I inventoried equipment and shadowed a senior mechanical engineer to better understand his duties in the company. For example, I helped analyze a seal pump to determine if and how it should be replaced.

Amason and Associates is a general contractor. I assisted in the bid process calling subcontractors and doing takeoffs to see how much of a certain product we needed. I also opened and closed a jobsite in Starkville, MS on weekends.
