Managing full US Gulf Coast storage portfolio for CCS projects through pre-execution project gates. Responsible for evaluating and prioritizing early opportunities and driving maturation timelines to meet business commercial demands. Partnering with the Low Carbon Solutions company to deliver an execution-ready portfolio of projects which are setup to deliver industry leading cost and schedule benchmarks.

Development planner for the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) portion of the Baytown Blue Hydrogen Project. Led project through concept selection to Gate 2 initial funding decision. Primary development planner for major US Gulf Coast (USGC) storage assets through acquisition of Denbury and transitioned into full USGC CCS storage portfolio characterization and optimization. Responsible for providing cost and schedule inputs, integrating subsurface and commercial data, providing full project lifecycle economics and getting internal endorsement.

Team lead and acting supervisor for team of 10+ full time subsurface individuals. Focused on both frontier exploration in Mozambique, southern Angola, northern Namibia and São Tomé & Principe as well as near field exploration in Equatorial Guinea and northern Angola. Worked JV partnerships for exploration well funding decisions and led major equity farmouts. Organized and ran in-country workshops in both Angola and Namibia for both IOC and government partners.

Primary interpreter for productive oil reservoir at Chayvo field on behalf of the Sakhalin-1 consortium. Responsible for geologic interpretation, geomodeling and well planning. Drilled successful well with world record length 12-1/4” hole section. Spent a month onsite interpreting Geosphere resistivity data while drilling to provide real-time updates to directional drillers.

Geoscience lead for 2018 Tekschema and Hydrocarbon In-place regulatory submissions for the Chayvo field on behalf of the Sakhalin-1 consortium. Worked extensively with Rosneft and Russian Design Institute (RDI) TNNC to develop subsurface basis for geologic models and in-place reserves estimation that conformed to both US and Russian standards.

Primary geophysicist supporting production activities at the Chayvo field on behalf of the Sakhalin-1 consortium. Lead geophysicist from Houston supporting the processing and QC of complex shallow water 3D seismic survey by Geoprime in Moscow. Made numerous trips to QC processing progress and manage delivery of products. Built full field 3D velocity model for use in depth conversion for geologic modeling and depth prognosis for extremely complex production and near field exploration wells including real-time updates while drilling to inform casing depths. Led numerous workshops with Rosneft in Moscow to build alignment on modeling efforts and QCs.

Rotated to Leatherhead office, UK to support Romania exploration efforts in Black Sea. Utilized Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI) analysis and quantitative geophysics techniques to quickly high grade a prospect portfolio in an amplitude-driven play to meet fast paced rig line demands. Work directed to two exploration wells being added to rig line and drilled.

Geophysicist supporting business units offshore Guyana, Suriname and Brazil and onshore Colombia and Argentina. In Guyana performed quantitative rock property modeling and Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI) analysis which directly led to both a successful equity farm out and a successful play-opening Liza-1 discovery. Recommended Liza-1 well location based on interpreted oil-water contact and modeled porosity from seismic response.In Argentina led fine-grained rock property modeling project aimed at targeting optimized landing interval for horizontal production wells in the Vaca Muerta formation. Redatumed hundreds of onshore 2D seismic lines to provide consistent database for geologic interpretation.In Colombia worked with local operator Vetra to safely plan and drill onshore exploration wells in the La Luna formation. Built complex 3D velocity model to help predict overpressure and ensure casing depths were set at the correct intervals.

Focused on applying in-house seismic inversion techniques to a number of assets in West Africa and South America. Utilized Hampson-Russell for acoustic and elastic well calibration and Omega for demigrating and remigrating seismic data.
