With over 8 years experience as a Hydraulics and Hydrology Design Engineer with Jones & Carter, Inc., I have been responsible for handling multiple hydrology and hydraulic related studies and designs. I have been involved with the evaluation, design, and construction of multiple master-planned and site-specific drainage facilities. I am experienced in river hydraulic analyses and floodplain mapping and modeling. I was an integral part of the Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) Tropical Storm Allison Recovery Project (TSARP), including the re-mapping of the FEMA floodplain for Harris County and preparation of the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM). I also managed the Post-TSARP evaluation of the Armand Bayou watershed with HCFCD, including reviewing the base conditions and impact analysis to optimize the planning and design of possible future flood reduction projects to provide varying levels of protection. I have also analyzed the existing storm sewer system within the Central Greens Business Park to determine capacity and the impact of multiple proposed detention basin outfalls. I managed the phased design and construction of the Grand Mission Regional Detention system, including three (3) phased expansions over the last 5 years.
