I have overseen the Boys State Cup Competition as Virginia's part of the USYS National Championship Series since 2004. Working with Cathy Mann, the Girls State Cup Commissioner, and Anne Thompson, the VYSA State Cup Director, we have managed the Competition helping to produce a couple of National Champion teams over that time.We are now working to change the Virginia Competition from a single-elimination format to a championship format beginning in the Fall of 2015.With the background of promoting players to colleges for the Virginia RUSH, the Fall competition (which consists of the U15-U18 divisions) is now a fully functioning College Showcase event complete with Player Profile materials for all Semi-Finalists and Finalists.

I began the College Showcase Program for the Virginia RUSH in 2005 under the tutelage, guidance, and chagrin of the Technical Director for the club, Jay Hoffman, and the President of the club, David Dingerink. I looked for a Head Coach the players respected, who knew the college soccer game, and found one in Randy Good. We have worked together all this time showcasing players from North Carolina to New Jersey and have placed players in all NCAA Divisions, NJCAA, and NAIA schools from New York to Florida and as far west as Illinois. 98% of all players who want to play soccer in college are recruited with offers made.Our U16-U18 Virginia RUSH Elite Boys teams are composed of our former Academy program players as well as those players who have come up through the ranks and are striving to fulfill their goal of playing soccer in college. These are the players that I have presented at showcase events from New Jersey to Florida over the past 10 years and look forward to doing so again this coming 2015-2016 year.Beginning in the 2015-2016 year I will now be presenting our Virginia RUSH U15-U18 Girls teams to Women's College Coaches at similar nationally ranked showcase events. These girl's teams are composed of former ECNL players along with similar "up through the ranks"​ players that are looking to compete in a college environment. Inspired by the 2015 Women's World Cup team, many of these girls want to find themselves there in 4 or 8 years and see a competitive college environment as the path.
