At BYU - Idaho we have a professional production and broadcast team. The team is comprised of both experienced individuals and industry leading hardware and software. Our primary facility is a 15,000 seat auditorium with full facilities and data center. I am one of the two full time staff who maintain the systems for the facility. My personal duties involve managing the storage systems, audio over IP network, as well as all streaming and video on demand needs for the University. I work closely with other IT team members who provide virtual desktop image deployment, file shares, and unified communication for our use. As a broadcast venue we maintain strong relationships with vendors such as Avid, Kaltura, Brightcove, Audinate, Eco Digital, Amazon AWS, Spectra Logic, and Telestream.Separate from managing equipment is managing the team of closed captioning students who provide the service to the entire university. The manger position has taught me how to effectively communicate professional expectations, while seeing to the needs of the employees.

My primary responsibility is to ensure classroom tech systems are maintained and upgraded according to a maintenance schedule. The majority of our systems are composed of 3 series DM Crestron processors. I also help in the deployment of any audio processing through BSS London. Our current work is focused on distance learning with our University being a satellite location for other schools. In addition we are regularly integrating lecture capture systems for off site students.

I mixed shows on professional digital consoles including Digico SD7/SD9, and the Avid Profile. Live shows included placing microphones, using internal and external effects processors, and minor recording duties. Additionally, I assisted in the design and installation of large auditorium systems.

As project manager I handle client interaction from first contact down to final install. It is important to grasp what each client envisions for their connected home or business. Some need simple ethernet infrastructure to stabilize the home network, while others opt for a whole control system. Regardless of the size of project my goal is to make the system integrate into their lifestyle and work flow.

As an intern for the engineering team I am responsible for overseeing the design and install of digital signal processing for a large auditorium. The first step of the project is discovery so we could understand the intent of the original contractor. Completely redesigning the building infrastructure would have been financially impossible and impractical. After the discovery phase planning of the system operation was important to determine necessary equipment. The final phase is installation and programming.

Primarily responsible for set up and break down of large lighting systems.

Helped produce small to large productions with 50+ performers. Worked in multiple theaters with full fly systems. Also worked in none performance spaces to create temporary stages with rigging and truss systems. I've worked on a variety of sound boards from Yamaha to Allen and Heath. I also have worked with some of the newest small format digital sound boards.
