Currently I am Service Manager with NOVA-TECH Engineering of Everett, Washington. I am the sole representative for the company here in Charleston providing technical support to BOEING for NOVA-TECH built aerospace tooling at the BOEING CHARLESTON facility. The contract here is about to expire and I'm in the market for my next professional challenge. will be Prior to that I did a stint as Maintenance Supervisor at a Korean owned automotive parts manufacturer. I knew going in I would have a finite term. What I learned about myself and what I learned about being a manager greatly helped me for future endeavors. I knew I was a good leader and had a successful career in the military to testify to that. The private sector was a new challenge. I found the principles of leadership are universal. What worked with my crew in the military worked with my crew in the private sector. People are people wherever you go. If your'e a strong leader and know how to motivate people you will be successful. I feel I have mastered that aspect of corporate management. I learned much about the areas I knew I was not well versed in: financial and budget. Still not my strong suit, I know now I can manage both people and money in a corporate environment. All I need now is a place that's looking for a strong leader. Someplace that is just starting up or perhaps is growing to the point where a maintenance manager is needed. Even a place where the maintenance department is ineffective would present the challenge I know I can meet. I love a challenge and I have the skill to meet any challenge placed before me.
