"Competence is my watchword."I am both an IT professional and a freelance software engineer. I am a life long techie since the age of 12 when I started building computers with my father. Since then I have a reputation for being synonyms with tech among friends and family. My professional tech career started when I enlisted in the California Army National Guard as an Information Technology Specialist for 11 years. During my time in the Guard, I was in an Aviation and Finance Unit as a junior enlisted and eventually being a squad leader leading a squad of five Soldiers. As a leader, I always emphasize on accountably to the people above and below me as well as my peers as it is an important attribute to have as a competent leader. Being a soldier has taught me to always be adaptive whether it be technological changes and advances or having to make adjustments to accomplish the mission. My determination and resilience is what will set me apart from the rest.
