Provide senior technical support; including fault analysis, disturbance analysis, thermal ratings analysis & transient analysis.Responsible for developing equipment facility ratings methodologies & calculations in support of meeting NERC Standards FAC-008.Lead System Studies Engineer on multiple, simultaneously occurring technical studies/analysis to develop, support, improve & maintain the reliable generation & transmission of electrical power. A brief list of Projects led include: Fault analysis, including Individual Breaker Analysis (IBAs); Arc Flash studies; multiple EMTP studies, including transient analysis to support NERC clearance alert & OSHA Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) switching studies, Impedance Loci calculation to identify any system resonant conditions located near a large proposed 115 kV inverter station; these EMTP studies required model building from scratch including frequency dependent lines, transformer models which included magnetizing/hysteresis impacts, etc.Responsible for developing a process which reports the variability of Net Revenue & Debt Coverage Ratio utilizing a Monte Carlo technique. Forward forecasts for Hydro flow, LBMP & Sparkspreads were varied & modeled in Operating Forecast. The Forecast outputs were modified to directly provide the results necessary to predict the uncertainty in Net Revenue & Debt Coverage Ratios.Developed reports, derived from the Operating Forecast, for Sparkspreads, UCAP, Coverage Ratio and Customer Benefits.Knowledge of Utility Financial Markets, particularly as they relate to the NYISO & corporate wide financial statements.Well versed in NERC Standard compliance, particularly as related to Standards FAC-008 from both a generator owner/operator & transmission owner/operator.Deep knowledge of EMTP, ASPEN, SKM, Excel including macros and visual basic modules & various other analytical/office wide software applications.
