Network Manager: Supervise the operations and maintenance of the Counter Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) Sense and Warn System and associated equipment in the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) for a Forward Operations Base (FOB) in Afghanistan. Assumed an active role as liaison with the customer, regional staff and various FSR’s; to include troubleshooting, identifying problems and providing recommendation for possible solutions. Coordinated various training activities, course logistics, special training presentations, and distributed training materials. Developed training and visual aids necessary to conduct training in accordance with current doctrine and policies established by the department of the Army. Works under the general supervision of the Shop Foreman with work being assigned through established maintenance schedules and delegated responsibility for accomplishment of needed preventive maintenance and repair through the exercise of judgment and experience in performing assigned maintenance and repair work. Employee selects tools, decides on the methods and techniques to use, and carries out routine assignments with little in-progress check. Identifies and obtains standard parts or replacement items through review of manuals, comparisons with other parts, etc., and insures that adjustments and settings meet established manufacturer, manual, and other specifications. Supervisor or other higher graded mechanic (as assigned) gives advice on unusual or otherwise technically complex problems with review of work in terms of maintaining equipment and systems in optimum operating condition and for the economical and proper use of materials and equipment, and adherence to safety rules and regulations. Assists automotive workers as necessary to help solve problems or when two people are required for a task.

Duties included troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems and vehicle repair. Also assigned as M88 recovery vehicle operator, responsibilities include ensuring vehicle is fully mission capable at all times. Evaluations demonstrated a consistent increase in skill level, knowledge, and quality of work. Deployed to Korea, assigned to 4/7 Cavalry a mixed unit of light, heavy, and air CAV. Worked competently in an extremely high stress environment; constant state of alert working all hours to meet operation standards. Reviews vehicle records procedures for efficiency and proper operations. Establishes, directs, and supervises procedures for dispatching, turn-in, receipt, and exchange of vehicles. Advises and assists in the organization and development of routine maintenance and standard operating Supervisory responsibilities include directing work standards for technically competent mechanics. Track and coordinate receiving and installing of repair parts for all vehicles. Served as Battalion Recovery NCOIC.
