Through the series of hearings and briefings, clarified misconceptions propagated by the media and provided Congress an effective understanding of the Department’s Cyber Incident Response to inform the legislative process. - Contributed to the National Security Staff Cyber Security Interagency Policy Committee, as the Secret Service’s representative, developing information sharing, peace time norms, and other policy initiatives for the White House. Improved Secret Service operations by directing the engineering of a modernized case management system.- Restructured and expanded the Secret Service Critical Systems Protection program by adding manpower, equipment and training in Washington, DC after identifying shortcomings in resources compared to newly expanded requirements. With this enhanced correlation capability, the Secret Service achieves increased situational awareness of computer networks that are part of the Secret Service security plan for a protectee. - Developed and implemented the Strategic Cyber Investigations Program for the Secret Service by partnering with the Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS) of the Department of Justice to better engage the field and assist in cyber investigations against cyber criminals. By doing so, increased the number of field offices engaged in conducting investigations against Eastern European cybercriminals by 50 percent. - Inspired team commitment and motivation with international cyber working groups and imbedded Secret Service cyber agents at the Dutch National High-Tech Crime Unit, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Estonian National Police and the United Kingdom’s Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) and Metropolitan Police (MET).
