Major Accomplishments:Downsized organization and realigned organizational structure, program areas and services from seven departments to three divisions producing efficiencies and quality. Expanded its equity base, produced two straight breakeven years after years of end of year deficits. Co-developed, co-founded an industry-wide sector and community based- organization partnership in workforce development that generated a 1.1 million dollar investment by private foundationsSucceeded in securing funds from public and private funders for capacity building, program services and strategic planning. Cited in the Pioneer Institute study that began health and human service agency overhaul to eliminate cross-agency resource duplication. Founder of the Latino Alliance for Progress and Latino Leadership Institute, Principal investigator to a Puerto Rican Epidemiology Study. Co-chair Boston Campaign for Proficiency and Character Development and the Northeastern University Institute on Race and Justice.Serve on a Trust Committee responsible for disbursing $2.6 million dollars of community benefit funds for Roxbury resident serving community-based institutions.
