Managed global R&D team to push the technology envelope in integrated acoustic modules comprising speakers, microphones, flex PCB, antenna, and plastic enclosures. Responsible for full multi-specific engineering efforts encompassing industrial design, electro-acoustic transducer design, packaging, material and test development. All engineering efforts culminated into a final turnkey integrated acoustic module custom made to fit a particular mobile device. Responsibilities:- Formulate technology roadmap for integrated acoustic modules.- Coordinate high-touch engineering efforts with major Chinese mobile phone teams.- Define acoustic test strategy for new breed of acoustic modules- Innovate new technologies and subcomponents to optimize performance/cost of system designs.

Responsible for creating and staffing a satellite R&D office for Knowles Electronics to better serve major consumer electronics customers in Silicon Valley. Acting as lead engineer for this office, our agile team was responsible for maintaining front line of support to high technology customer R&D teams to shape roadmaps, drive new technology, and provide quick resolution of technical/quality issues, liaising with HQ where appropriate to provide highest level of support.Responsibilities:- Provide direct and daily on site support to major Silicon Valley customers- Design, specify, and contract complete acoustic test lab to support full suite of electroacoustic testing for electromechanical acoustic components.- Staff engineering team to provide high level direct support for mechanical, electrical, and acoustic customer support.- Liaise with corporate HQ to insure full end-to-end support from customer through factory.- Drive and collaborate new industrial and acoustic microphone features to enable new technology platforms.
