Participated in bilateral trade negotiations between the United States and foreign governments in Canada, Japan, Mexico, Russia, and South Korea. Handled trade teams visiting the United States from all of these countries and also Uruguay. Led trade talks in Washington, D.C. with Canadian delegation at USDA headquarters on the National Mall. Had advanced negotiation training, security clearance and government passport. Wrote the Timberline Accord, the first U.S. - Russia agricultural trade agreement for produce, which was signed at Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood in Oregon in 2008.
