As a CNS Intern, I collaborated closely with the Central Nervous System Team, assisting with daily tasks and conducting lab experiments. I was entrusted with streamlining the standard operating procedures for astrocyte and microglia cell cultures, significantly improving lab efficiency. My internship also involved gaining proficiency in advanced surgical techniques on rats and mice, including craniotomies, stereotaxic surgeries, and behavioral Y maze testing. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in reorganizing and optimizing the CNS lab, creating a more efficient and productive work environment.
