I am an interdisciplinary environmental researcher, policy analyst, and educator with more than 20 years of experience across the natural and social sciences. My training and professional interests combine nature-society relationships, political economy, ecosystem science, and mixed methods research. I have conducted laboratory work on freshwater stream ecosystems in the U.S. South and Chile; studied neotropical ground nesting songbirds in New England; designed empirical fieldwork on rural agricultural change, forest conservation, and commodity production networks as a Fulbright U.S. Researcher in Kenya; led policy and advocacy teams working for energy equity in Georgia, Florida, and the U.S. South; and developed environmental curriculum while teaching courses at three universities, two in the U.S. and one in Kenya. I collaborate with stakeholders, networks, and coalitions to advance climate resilience, sustainability, and environmental conservation centering expertise, decision-making, and ownership in local communities.
