Embedded Linux development. Deliver security service and updates for 6 current LTC customers (IBM and Lenovo teams). Establish new deliverable for IBM Z systems. Develop new tooling to support customer effort tracking and CVE security tracking based on the Django framework.- Served as technical lead working with IBM and Lenovo systems firmware teams, delivering steady stream of updates for imbedded Linux runtimes. 20 releases over 6 customized projects during the last year.- Developed and refined new tools, collecting and tracking effort expended per LTC customer against budget targets. Deployed and enhanced CVE security issue tracking application, tracking reported CVEs, status and the LTC response.

REST based management and configuration services for Pure Power Integrated Manager (PPIM). Developed Python-based REST API as part of agile team that created offering, which was a fully agile development effort that spanned 3 releases.- Designed and developed rack management APIs, including Rest and CLI implementations, providing service to the Dojo based web interface and automation and scripting capabilities at the command line.- Developed and delivered device support for Storage enclosures and HMC managed Power Nodes, enabling inventory, configuration and management of these devices.- Reworked and evangelized the PPIM NLS delivery strategy, ensuring there was a workable and working NLS implementation. Audited and corrected all server side code to conform to the NLS APIs.

Release Lead for IBM Systems Director and Flexible Systems Manager for 3 release cycles. Led the product through the period where IBM's X Server business was sold to Lenovo. Controlled the development schedule and technical content for worldwide development teams during the transition. Reviewed and approved system design, development and test plans.- Worked with IBM's legal counsel and Lenovo product teams to establish technical deliveries meeting CFIUS legal restrictions associated with the sale of the X Server business to Lenovo.- Led CFIUS compliance changes to support new Lenovo release, resulting in an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award.- Served as IBM contact for Toshiba Retail Store Systems to support use of Systems Director by Toshiba customers. Handled ongoing support issues (Defects, Request for new Features etc) and relationship issues (questions about future direction, product plans and availability of Systems Director after X Server sale to Lenovo), ensuring both Toshiba and Toshiba customer success using Systems Director for managing complex retail environments. - Provided critical expertise and assistance to build team during NEXUS repository outage and subsequent rebuild activities, restoring Systems Director and FSM build system to proper function.- Collaborated with legal to address issues with IP rights assignment related to the Lenovo sale, ensuring legal rights to ship release on time with no legal impediments.

Lead developer for FSM and IBM Systems Director. Developed server status, metric collection and automation componentry for multiple Systems Director releases. - Developed robust REST API support for endpoint metric collection and endpoint status reporting and management, enabling inclusion in the public Software Development Kit. Enhanced and refined the API for large scale capacity management offering, re-enabling a capability that had been removed.- Served as product customer advocate for select accounts, providing a customer voice in requirements collection, development prioritization and support issue resolution.- Introduced static analysis checks and reporting to development process, driving quality improvements over multiple release cycles.

Team lead for Content Services for WebSphere Portal, an EMF and SDO based service layer for accessing content in Portal. Led team, developed and delivered enhancements to the service layer.- Recognized development contact for internal deployment of Quickr (IBM Connections predecessor).- Managed issues and developed custom responses for customers with critical support status (Rheinmetall, PwC, BoNY / Mellon Bank, etc), resulting in new capabilities with enhanced customer value included in a future release.- Managed custom licensing for APIs, source and early access for Quickr business partners and customers wanting to develop custom product enhancements, serving as development contact for questions and resolving development issues.- Authored 2 developerWorks articles: an introduction to the service layer and a worked example interacting with the API.

Team lead for Everyplace Toolkit, a set of Eclipse-based plug-ins that support application development for pervasive devices (phones, PDAs, etc.) connected to enterprise systems. - Served as team lead and lead programmer for Multiple Device Authoring Technology (MDAT). MDAT was core technology introduced in Everyplace Toolkit for simplifying development of Web and Portal applications for mobile devices. Led a multi-site (US, Europe, Asia), multi-division (Software and Research) team. Recognized with Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for team leadership and development contributions.- Led Mobile Forms project development, an XForms based distributed forms architecture that delivered client, server and tooling components, refining requirements to an architecture and product design while leading delivery of framework and UI for manipulating XForms documents and application content.

Team lead for multiple projects for WebSphere Everyplace Suite (WES) Release 3.1:- Defined requirements and architecture in concert with IBM Voice Systems Architect and VoiceRite for a unified messenger component for inclusion in WES.- Led team in delivering administration portal applications for WES components. Handled all aspects of the delivery including requirements collection, design, development and all testing. Found and drove resolution of significant issues in 2 associated product components, in one case likely avoiding a multi-week slip in the overall product schedule.- Led WebSphere Portal administration component for WebSphere Connection Manager (WECM), resulting in successful delivery of new authentication support on schedule.
