“Take the stairs, never the escalator.” This quote represents my passion for seeking out challenges and finding solutions to problems. To me, the more difficult path typically yields a better understanding and leads to more creative solutions. I am a driven, hardworking student and employee seeking to learn something new daily. I possess customer service skills because of my employment in the restaurant industry and at Indian Hills Country Club, which taught me how to identify problems and find creative solutions to keep customers and patrons happy. I have gained sales experience through Vector Marketing/Cutco Cutlery, which taught me how to sell myself first, then the product, to ensure customer satisfaction. I have also learned leadership skills by being elected the Treasurer of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Sailing Club and DEI Chairman of the Alpha Tau chapter of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. These positions have taught me what it looks like to be a strong leader by practicing purposeful listening and supporting others on and off a leadership team. Most recently, I worked for a custom home builder where I gained experience on the labor and office side of the residential construction industry. I am currently an Economics major pursuing Construction Management and Psychology minors. I am encouraged and excited by challenges and enjoy problem-solving, which I carry into my academics.
