Developed and maintains a 3-year training plan for the RND program to include courses and exercises. Coordinates with the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, the Center for Domestic Preparedness and the Counter-terrorism Operations Support on training courses and exercises as needed.Manages grant funds to include writing grant proposals, creating a budget, managing sub-grantees, identifying equipment purchases, creating Requests for Expenditures (RFEs), working with vendors, assisting with contracts, etc.Works with the IDHS legal staff to develop a RND Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which references IC 10-19-11-3, providing local agencies authorities as an IDHS agent for inspection and investigation relating to radiation control during RND operations. Works with local agencies on completing the MOU process. Tracks those agencies completing the MOU process and assists with maintaining their effective dates.Develop and maintain a maintenance plan for all RND equipment to include any needed contracts with vendors and assists in maintaining an inventory of IDHS radiological equipment and supplies. Assists with the development and maintenance of a calibration schedule of equipment and aids in scheduling, transporting, and shipping equipment to vendors for calibration to keep all equipment calibrated as needed. May serve as a member of various task forces and committees related to the radiological program or homeland security programs.
