Atmospheric Pressure Plasma – Investigated novel applications for an atmospheric pressure plasma discharge generated from a unique pulsed power system, including: plasma cathode for electron source, surface modification, and reactive flux generator for CVD. Designed and fabricated unique plasma system electrodes, estimated reactive flux output, and assembled test apparatuses.Graphene Growth – Lead the effort to grow graphene on an insulating substrate material. Successfully demonstrated graphene growth via furnace deposition from ethanol vapor source, and investigated plasma assisted growth of graphene from various vapor sources in a custom made electrode apparatus.Field Emission Devices – Developed and executed semiconductor process flow to fabricate back gated field emission structures. Successfully fabricated devices operated as high current density electron sources. Performed failure analysis on non-working devices.3D semiconductor integration – Developed and executed process flow for bonding dissimilar semiconductor device wafers.I have worked with many major unit operations of semiconductor processing, including: lithography mask design, contact and stepper photolithography, electron beam lithography, RIE and wet etching, metal deposition via electroplating, metal sputtering and e-beam evaporation, and PECVD oxide growth.I have also performed analysis of a vairety samples, using SEM, EDS, FIB, XPS, and XRD.
