I am an experienced technical leader, skilled in working with businesses large and small to deliver innovative and efficient digital solutions.I have helped to launch and maintain dozens of successful solutions and products (and just as importantly, have learned a great deal from a healthy share of failed endeavors).I manage and work alongside technical teams of like-minded individuals, and enjoy collaborating to perpetually optimize how we deliver. I am adept at fostering cooperation in cross functional teams and effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.I am at home across the depth of a traditional service-based stack, regularly taking on the responsibilities of: • Architecture design• Cloud service configuration (primarily AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, and Vultr), • Software design and implementation (most recent experience is primarily Ruby + JavaScript stacks, with occasional peripheral services in Python, Java, and Go) • Infrastructure configuration (using Linux servers, Docker, Ansible, Capistrano, Terraform, etc).I strongly believe in the principle of utilizing boring solutions as a way to minimize complexity and maintain the ability to innovate and grow. Outside of work I have dabbled in public speaking, I occasionally contribute to open source and I am a proud husband and father of two.
