Co-developed Lightyears ‘Vehicle Performance Model’. This Matlab/Simulink based model describes all systems in the car that eventually contribute to the energy consumption of the vehicle e.g. aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, motors, inverters, HV & LV battery, power converters, solar panel, auxiliaries, cooling system and HVAC for cabin conditioning. The model was used for critical design decisions like battery size, motor torque and solar layout, but also to verify whether there is enough battery power, motor torque and cooling capacity to drive up a steep mountain pass in hot conditions while also keeping the cabin comfortable for instance.
Vehicle Dynamics Expert
Benchmarking of competitor cars, Target setting for handling characteristics, analyzing the effect of unsprung mass of in-wheel motors. Developed 15 DoF vehicle dynamics model in Matlab and Simscape Multibody to simulate load cases and design suspension hardpoints and spring damper characteristics.
