Technical project manager for two multiple-year Sponsored Research projects at MIT Libraries: 1. FACADE 3D CAD Models (e.g. Frank Gehry Stata Center) into MIT DSpace • Scope: Two-year sponsored research project (Federal funding IMLS Leadership program) • Results: Under mentorship of MIT Prof. Bill Mitchell (former dean of School of Architecture and Planning), completed on schedule and within budget the successful development of a working end-to-end system, now moving into production at MIT (this is my current work), for digital archiving and dissemination of 3D CAD models and related materials from prominent architectural firms, including Frank Gehry's Stata Center at MIT. • Innovation: Applied semantic web technology (ontology) to solution for: (1) semi-automated metadata tagging on contents of file system (50,000 files), and (2) new DSpace capabilities for ingest and dissemination of that dataset, through MIT SIMILE user interface tools • Website: http://facade.mit.edu 2.
