Under the guidance of a professor, I researched and analyzed the coexistence capabilities of WiFi and 5G devices in the 6GHz band. Using the Ns3 simulator package, I developed a program to simulate the coexistence of these devices in an indoor scenario.I researched and presented on wifi security protocols including WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3. For each, I detailed their weaknesses, improvements from the previous specification, and potential vectors of attack. Most recently, I am developing programs in MicroPython to enable IoT (Pycom) devices to communicate with each other and establish a TCP connection. Using these programs I am collecting transmission signals for all 50 Pycom devices which will be used to train a machine-learning algorithm to enable device fingerprinting.

Over the course of 9 months, three other students and I worked in a group partnered with PreAct Technologies to enable collision avoidance for autonomous mobile robots. The first few months were focused on breaking down the project to outline its requirements, goals, stakeholders, success measures, timeline, and sprint breakdown. The remaining months were spent developing software for our project and creating a video presentation and display for the College of Engineering Expo.This project was done using the agile framework with two weekly meetings with our project partner and with our class teaching assistant. The project breakdown was done in Jira with the project split into sprints and each sprint broken down into individual tasks that were assigned to each member. Jira was also used to monitor progress of the project and team member contribution.The final deliverables were a demonstration video, a presentation at the engineering expo, and the software developed to enable collision and cliff avoidance for simulated data. Taught kids ages 12-18 concepts of machine learning, cryptography, and advanced python. Developed additional material for students who were more advanced and for others who were interested in other machine learning concepts. Met with other instructors bi-monthly to discuss methods to improve class and engagement. Organized and facilitated final meetings with parents so students could share their accomplishments.
