Key Achievements: • Led the quantitative analysis of bids received for four procurements (totalling over $100 million); provided recommendations to senior management with key benefits, risks and possible risk mitigation strategies for each proposal. • Worked with the CTO and his direct reports to develop the new five year IT strategy plan, including identifying key trends impacting the business, analyzing financial and organizational impact of different choices. • Researched best practices and frameworks to assist senior management develop a department-wide strategy. This resulted in establishing a new goal-setting process for teams, to bring better alignment in the department. • Collaborated with the Finance Department, IT service provider and other teams to understand the financial impact and highlight potential cost savings of merging the IT groups of Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and University Health Network. • Conducted research and briefed senior management on key emerging IT trends and initiatives, some examples include cloud computing, effects of consumer technology on healthcare delivery, and how to increase the speed of innovation.

Hired as a Senior Project Analyst to manage and lead projects in the acute healthcare portfolio. Key Achievements: • Led the expansion of an electronic patient referral system (known as Resource Matching & Referral or RM&R) from two pilot units to all in-patient medical and surgical units in the 700+ bed hospital network; oversaw the initiative from planning through to implementation including engaging stakeholders, managing expectations, overseeing the training of over 10,000 users and managing the initial support during the post-transition period. • Selected to participate in the review and benchmarking of the organization’s IT outsourcing contract. I led the work streams related to technical content in the creation of an RFP for the services, selection of the new vendor and negotiation of the new contract. This is the largest procurement conducted by the department in its history, the new contract is valued at more than $60 million. The processes and templates I developed are now used as templates for other department procurement initiatives. • Voluntarily participated in a team that assisted the Chief Information Officer organize department-wide town halls focused on enhancing staff engagement.

Joined team as a Business Analyst to manage enhancements and bug fixes for a suite of healthcare related applications, with a particular focus on the provincial pharmaceutical information system. Participated in all stages of projects, from gathering requirements to testing and deployment.Key Achievements: • Led four projects, of varying complexity, to enhance a province-wide pharmaceutical system. The enhancements provide physicians and pharmacists with better clinical decision support, thereby reducing the chances of drug related issues for patients. • Selected to represent the Business Analyst stakeholders in the rollout of a defect management system for the entire business unit.

Joined team to assist in transferring the support of mission critical applications of a major telecommunications client to a more cost effective near-shore location.
