Yang is an artist and curator based in Chicago. She received her BFA in Painting and Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2023, where she had a focus on painting materials. Currently, she is enrolled in the Arts Administration MA program at Teachers College, Columbia University.With a focus on nostalgia, her paintings capture fleeting memories and emotions through a vivid interplay of color and form. Her creative interests extend beyond painting, as she has previously worked at Compound Yellow, an experimental art organization in Chicago, where she was responsible for its MdW fair and served as a lead in the 2022 Multiple Goods Fair. In addition to her work at Compound Yellow, she worked as an assistant curator at the Tsinghua University Art Museum (TAM), where she was responsible for exhibitions including 100 Years of Design History: The Biagetti-Koening Collection and Marvelous Colors, Manifold Forms: Cultural Exchanges in Glass Art Among the Ancient East and West.Yang recently founded Peanuts Art, an exhibition incubator based in New York. As a creative individual, she has also spearheaded curatorial projects, including Dine With Us and Hope & Darkness. Her passion for art expands to the film industry, where she is an active art director for multiple film projects. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the world of fine dining and winery, investigating and writing comments on these experiences.
