Initially brought on for a short-term contract to prepare the statutory accounts for several head office companies within the United Biscuits group, I was soon offered the permanent role of Group External Reporting Manager. In this role I took ownership of the financial reporting function for external review, working with external auditors to ensure compliance with all taxation and statutory requirements and UK GAAP reporting guidelines. ▪ Collaborating with third party vendors as the key internal lead from United Biscuits for the implementation of Hyperion, ensuring consistent financial data was collected;▪ Developing and leading the execution of statutory financial statements for 40+ reporting entities within the group; ▪ Held full accountability for preparing the UK GAAP statutory accounts, monitoring progress and working with Tax and Treasury;▪ Met global regulatory requirements as the key project lead on the roll out of Hyperion, introducing consistent standards across all reporting and data entry through the provision of financial consolidation and reporting; ▪ Prepared financial statements free from material misstatement boosting the confidence in shareholders.
