About Yvette Rose
It’s an honor serving the Federal Aviation Administration in the Office of Rulemaking. With over 25 years of experience in safety advocacy, regulatory policy and several appointments on government/industry working groups and advisory councils, I bring a unique perspective to the FAA.I also have a passion to inspire the next generation of aviation and aerospace professionals. I volunteered to serve as the President of the Aero Club Foundation of Washington, a Foundation aimed at inspiring students in the District of Columbia's public and charter schools to pursue an aviation/aerospace career. As a Hispanic female and daughter of Ecuadorian immigrants, I understand the barriers to entry for underrepresented groups. One of my first tasks as President was to establish a scholarship program. The Foundation is proud to offer a $5,000 each year to students in the DC metropolitan area with an intent to pursue a career in aviation/aerospace.I also served on the FAA’s Youth Access to American Jobs in Aviation Task Force, Embry-Riddle University’s College of Aviation Industry Advisory Board and the National Aeronautic Association’s Board of Directors.Personal Mission: Continue breaking down aviation industry barriers to entry to underserved communities and mentor youth to ensure a competent, diverse new generation of aviation professionals.
