Supported engineering and projects for drilling rig upgrade projects. Created purchase orders and work orders in SAP, issued daily rig reports/updates and monitored project costs.

Tasked with the purchasing responsibilities for several clients in the Process Plants division of Mustang Engineering. Clients included Valero, Citgo and Marathon. My position was responsible for preparing bid lists, issuing requests for quotations, performing bid openings, preparing commercial bid evaluations (consisting of reviewing costs, material lead times, testing requirements, documentation, etc.) to ensure all client requirements were met. Once evaluations were complete, prepared purchase recommendation to client for review. Once approval received, prepared and awarded purchase order.

Prepared request for quotations, reviewed and distributed quotes, prepared commercial bid evaluations, made recommendations to the client for purchase, obtained the appropriate approvals and then developed the purchase order for the Nikiski Co-generation, Red-Dog Mine and the North Star Oilfield projects.

Responsible for the purchase order from receipt of requisition through closeout, ensuring all contractual requirements were met. Conducted shop visits and supplier evaluations; prepared request for quotation; solicited quotations from approved bidders and maintained all purchasing records. Prepared commercial bid analysis and made recommendations for award of the purchase order. When needed, conducted pre-solicitation, bid clarification, pre-award and post-award meetings.

Performed material take-offs, evaluated all procurement requests for pricing, budget and accurate accounting codes. Placed purchase orders with suppliers. Managed all material transportation to the field and established priorities on material deliveries. Organized the return of all defective materials received in the field and monitored the material status. Monitored inventory at all twelve pump stations and provided the status reports and material disposition reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
