Co-Chair of the Southwest Asian, North African Employee Resources Group at NRDC!

Budgeting, event planning, emailing, and calendaring are a few ways I contribute at NRDC. I primarily support seven staff members (lawyers, scientists, and policy analysts) in their daily/weekly work. My goal at NRDC is to build a strong sense of community across my immediate team and amongst the Climate and Clean Energy Program. On the other hand, I coordinate our program-wide fellowships and ensure that our fellows (and summer interns) have a wonderful experience at NRDC!

I will be engaging with community members and building relationships in various neighborhoods in Arlington! I am excited to be in this role, advocating for increased tree canopy across the county and sharing knowledge on the importance of increasing Arlington's tree count.

Trained and on-boarded new crew members, maintained store floor by completing assigned tasks efficiently, worked in a large team of 100 crewmembers, and prepared products for customer samples, Most importantly - built a community amongst my team and Old Town neighborhood.

Oversaw store operations during business hours, problem solved with guest satisfaction as a key indicator of success, motivated sales associates to crush daily and monthly business goals, and merchandised the store to fit company's visual merchandising strategies.

I actively work with my teammates to ensure efficient store operations, specifically: fostering a welcoming environment for our guests, staying up-to-date on product knowledge, and supporting store inventory through product consolidations.

Data maintenance and organization of student spreadsheets, which include student course registration status, various student account holds, and prior outreach efforts.Compiled student data (demographics, academic history, and current standing) to easily illustrate population of interests and facilitate program planning. Designed a timeline and launched the annual Connections Survey, which targets the first-year experience, short-term summer goals, and future academic plans.Coached students through resolving holds to prevent late registration, on-time payments to avoid accumulating fees, and directing students to proper campus resources. Assisted with the front-end of the office as a receptionist.

Coordinated department communication by answering the phone, greeting visitors, scheduling meetings, formatting numerous event proposals, maintaining calendars, and streamlining correspondence with vendors and clients.Built a network with various constituencies such as the Vice Presidents, Deans, faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Advanced the upkeep of the F Street House by conducting thorough routine house check-ups, submitting maintenance requests, and procurement of office supplies.

Developed semester-long community oriented events. Cataloged and developed an identification system of the GreenHouse plant collection.Guided tours and walking meditations within the GreenHouse

Worked on improving the Honor Code, while playing an active role in implementing it in a confidential manner. Assisted fellow students with the process and worked towards rehabilitating sanctions.

Social Media Coordinator (2015-2016) Initiated and managed social media campaign to gain youth interest and expand awareness of teen health issues. Evaluated programming by tracking event attendance and social media engagement.Data Entry Personnel (2014-2016) Maintained pre and post- program surveys in Excel by keying in approximately 500 responses; analyzed data and generated annual reports to assess population changes and needs. Council Member (2013-2016)Organized, planned, and helped lead council initiatives focusing on youth at risk. Advocated for quarterly community events, such as the 'Titan takeover' - hosted at one of the City's recreational centers, for an evening of games, prizes, free food, educational tables, and networking opportunities for youth. This was in collaboration with the City's Police Department, Health Department, numerous multicultural groups, and after school programming.
