As the Technical Lead of Cloudways Lightning, I was responsible for ensuring that key Cloudways customers had access to the resources they needed to be successful on the Cloudways platform. I utilized APM tools like New Relic to analyze the performance of client sites and make recommendations to improve their performance on the Cloudways platform. Additionally, I provided technical sales support to the Digital Ocean sales team for Cloudways products following their acquisition of Cloudways. Managed the technical resources of a team that consistently delivered the highest customer satisfaction in the company.

I conceived of the idea that became the brainy company in 2008, designing the company's logo and registering the domain in 2010, but didn't have the right team in place to get it off the ground until 2016 when Scott Drichel and I began planning to launch the brainy company. I was responsible for growing the brainy company from a new agency to a multi-million dollar company and from three to eleven full-time US-based staff members. Throughout my over three years with the brainy company, I developed the agency's voice, created the company culture, ran operations, directed project management, set up some of the best benefits in the business, planted the seeds that grew into the agency's standing in the WooCommerce and WordPress community, and did pretty much everything else that wasn't directly related to writing code.

Responsible for coordinating coverage for our national online music magazine. Duties include managing our editorial schedule; monitoring upcoming shows in the areas where we have available staff; coordinating press / photo pass requests for our staff; writing and editing articles, concert reviews, album reviews, etc; design, programming and maintenance of our website.

Strategy, acquisition and development of technology powering OscarMike.org, from our public website through to order fulfillment. Maintain software stack and hosting platform for our e-commerce site with a focus on extreme performance and usability. Create vertically-focused microsites for special events and key partners. Work closely with our Founder, Creative Director, and Chief Marketing Officer to execute company and foundation vision.

Responsible for the user experience across all of our enterprise mobility products, spanning three mobile platforms (iOS, Android and Windows RT) and web. Additionally, I serve as the developer lead for our Forms365 product, working with the product manager and other stakeholders to continually improve our paperless, mobile forms platform. A healthy mix of Photoshop and JavaScript, with current forward-thinking projects being built in AngularJS, HTML 5 and CSS 3.

Improved usability and functionality for the VelociDoc EMR through redesign of principal product interaction points. Designed new functionality to assist physicians and practices in adhering to Meaningful Use regulations. Integrated Web Font resources into C# desktop app. Designed forward-thinking product concepts for modern interactions and devices.

As Co-Founder and Photographer for Rock. Nothing But... I travel taking pictures at rock concerts anywhere in the country, but tend to stay closer to home in the upper-Midwest. I'm also responsible for the maintenance and development of our website, write some of our original content, record some of our exclusive interviews and tracks, edit some of the articles posted by our team and scout for new team members.

Held one of the first Flex 2 courses in the world at the RMI location in Venice Beach, CA. Continuing to teach Flex and AIR, and developing online courses for Flex, AIR and Flash Catalyst.

Leveraging my backgrounds in non-linear editing, video switching systems, live event production and video streaming with Flash Media Server, I run the behind the scenes technology that makes our live concert streaming platform work. I manage many of the aspects of on-site events, from network capacity requirements to production.

While with Influxis, I built the Synx Framework for Flash Media Server, a platform for creating FMS applications that utilized remote shared objects, multi-user interaction and audio/video streaming. Synx was written in Actionscript 3, and designed to be used with either Flash Professional or the Flex framework.

Managing a network of designers and developers to provide custom, easy to maintain websites for clients, ranging from large E-Commerce implementations to small businesses. Primary developer on most projects requiring custom code. Flash and Flex development, user experience architecture, standards-compliant HTML and CSS, and account management / sales.

Taught Flash Platform technologies and ColdFusion, with an emphasis on Rich Internet Applications and Flex.
