*Execute High Energy Laser (HEL) lethality assessments, working with other Services, National Laboratories, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, and Industry to develop threat-specific, HEL vulnerability modules used in DEW engagement models and mission planning tools. * Currently leading a multi-year, multi-Service, laser lethality experiment and data collection campaign.

Develop and lead the Albuquerque-based Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis team in support of a local customer and provide them the data to aid them in making important technical decisions for missions of critical importance.

To help fund the expensive hobby of modifying cars, I started this internet company which sells LED light conversion kits for several different Mitsubishi cars. These conversion kits are direct plug and play LED replacements for the incandescent lighting found in many cars. The benefits of LEDs include longer life, reliability, lower temperatures, and uniform, pure colors. I researched and developed the kits to replace the light bulbs in the instrument cluster, dashboard, overhead lighting and other auxiliary switches. I also researched and developed the installation procedures. Originally the kits were sold through an online forum, but I quickly saw the benefit of creating a website, so I designed and built the website, www.lightrikz.com. I continue to maintain the website and receive order for LEDs kits from all over the world.

Based on my background with high power laser weapon systems, work with the program manager to plan and oversee the technical tasking on a laser hardening program; meet regularly with the customer to provide updates on program status and answer technical questions; help coordinate testing of possible technical solutions at both local and remote test facilities

Corporate Technology Focus Area (TFA) Champion for High Power Lasers and Directed Energy Weapons, responsible for collecting HEL and DEW information across all business units to ensure coordination and collaboration, identify subject matter experts (SME) who support the TFA and confirm correct Enabling Technologies (ET) associated with the TFA; HEL Beam Director Integration and Test Lead, responsible for developing test strategies, plans, and procedures to align, characterize and test HEL beam director, assist in the development of a ground-based, HEL weapon system; develop and maintain 5 year HEL technology roadmap to support future investments; develop HEL weapon system architectures and perform system performance trade studies, creating presentations for briefing outside customers; SAL Systems Lead, perform flight test data analysis, detailed performance analysis, and develop models and tools of SAL seeker using Excel, MathCAD and Matlab

Integration of exo-atmospheric/space video processing algorithms running in an FPGA with embedded software loaded in a digital signal processor (DSP), modeling and simulation of video processing algorithms and embedded software, verification of video processing algorithm design and implementation, development of data analysis tools to assist with performance evaluation of described video processing algorithms and processor timing, interface with algorithm design teams, VHDL/Verilog firmware developers, embedded C/C++ software developers, electronic design teams, and test equipment teams to ensure successful and timely integration of video processing chain and performance characterization.

Performance requirements development for electro-optical subsystems and systems, validation and verification; lab, factory, and field test data analysis; develop analytic tools in Matlab, Excel, and Mathcad to assist in data and performance analysis of subsystems and systems; hardware and software integration; develop and use embedded software on a DSP to test and verify design of FPGA firmware

Recreated a video processing model in Matlab for a IR imaging system. Performed design verification testing of the capability enhancement phase of a complex, space imaging sensor and system in a class 7 cleanroom.Used my high power laser background and experience to help develop, design, build, integrate and test one of the world's most powerful fiber-laser defensive systems which included building and aligning the optical train, boresighting several off-axis imaging sensors, developing and performing complex design and performance verification testing, and operating and maintaining the system during field testing for several months at a test range. Performed analysis on the collected data and prepared briefings for senior management and external customers and industry partners. Published several results in peer reviewed journal.

As a member of a research team in the Center for Ultra-fast Optical Sciences (CUOS), I performed experiments with high energy fiber lasers such as a Fiber Chirped Pulse Amplification (FCPA) laser system, designed to generate high energy laser pulses for x-ray generation. Additional efforts included researching, designing, and building a fiber laser amplifier, wavelength tunable fiber laser, and researching spectral laser beam combining.

As a member of a large undergraduate and graduate student research team, I researched, designed and fabricated ion traps based on ceramic substrates and micro-electronic manufacturing (lithography and plasma deposition); trained in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and worked as a SEM technician, producing the micro-graphs for the entire research team including micro-graphing all of the silicon based optical waveguides fabricated by members of the research team; contributed to several peer-reviewed publications detailing experiments and results of our integrated micro-electonics fabrication research.
