• Theoretical/Practice Orientations: CBT, DBT, MBSR, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Spiritual Counselling and Marital Counselling.Clinical Areas of Emphasis: Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
• Clinical responsibilities – Conducts psychosocial assessments to identify client needs; Provides psychotherapy and coaching to children, youth and adults including assessment of presenting issues and developing solid.
• Demonstrates strong assessment and therapeutic skills that focus on enhancing techniques that will improve the client’s ability to self-sustain and encourages their growth.
• Liaison student counsellor to student at York Region District School Board schools including and not limited to Section 23 classrooms and students in specialized programs.
• Liaise\coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of treatment plans including medical professionals, educators and community partners.
• Case management: Exhibits excellent knowledge of community resources and connecting clients with appropriate community resources.
