Newborn Screening Section.⦁     Testing on newborn screening filter paper blood specimens and monitoring for Amino Acidemias, Fatty Oxidation Disorders, Organic Acidemias, Hemoglobinopathies and other Endocrine, genetic and metabolic disorders.⦁     Initially check and approve test results electronically transmitted to mainframe computer database.⦁     Maintain quality control data and participate successfully in proficiency testing.⦁     Perform daily maintenance on instruments and troubleshooting. ⦁     Trained in Next Gen Sequencing, DNA extraction, and PCR.⦁     Kept up with inventory and when items needed to be order and organizing supplies in lab.
