The relationship we build with businesses means that they fully understand the impact that they have on Alex's Wish and the wider Duchenne community.In 2010, my son Alex was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It is a severe and progressive muscle wasting disease that affects mainly boys and it will shorten his life unless a cure is found! It affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born. It is ‘the biggest’ genetic childhood killer condition and the most lethal and common form of Muscular Dystrophy. Having spoken to the leading experts, it was clearly apparent NOT enough funding is being put into finding new treatments.
