Product Manager for Superior Diesel and Bell Power Systems. My responsibilities are focused on the John Deere 350 Series product line which includes John Deere’s 2.9L, 4.5L, and 6.8L engines. I am fortunate enough to manage and work with a diesel engine brand that has withstood the test of time and that has one of the best service networks in the world. I’ve always been both very goals oriented as well as very team oriented. Product management offers endless opportunities to set goals and work collaboratively within our organization to achieve them. Market analysis, price evaluation, material planning, engaging with engineering on product design and release, and conducting cost reduction projects, are just a few of many responsibilities as one of our John Deere Product Managers. I enjoy working with all the teams within our organization to continuously ensure we’re providing the most cost-effective and best product offering that we can in the market.

As a Replacement Engine Representative, I worked within a team to provide our customers with replacement engine product(s) when their engines failed in the field. Working with dozens of customers daily we provided both new and remanufactured engine options to reduce downtime and get their machines back operating in the field. Focused on time sensitivity, and quality product, Superior Diesel and Bell Power Systems can get customers a durable John Deere replacement engine within a matter of days.

As a sales intern at Superior Diesel I work on specific tasks that are assigned from employees in their sales office. These tasks are important for the business and help out in many ways, including efficiency and effectiveness of their company and its employees. There are other interns throughout the company, and along with being a sales intern I also had the opportunity to lead leadership meetings with the interns. These meetings were held to help discover the intern's strengths and to implement and improve them as much as they possibly can.

Superior Diesel Inc. is a value added engine distributor for John Deere. While being an intern for Superior Diesel I rotated through the five departments the company had. The five departments include: engineering, sales, purchasing, accounting, and production. I spent two weeks in each of these departments and learned what tasks each of the departments are assigned. While spending time in each department I was able to complete working tasks for the business. There were five other interns that worked with me. Together we had to perform team tasks and were assigned different projects for the company. One of the bigger projects we had to complete was performing a market research for new prospects. As interns we had meetings every Monday where we worked on our communication skills, team skills, and leadership skills.
