I grew up soaking in the cheesy 80's sci-fi that my parents fed me. My role-model as a child (and maybe still) was always Kurt Russel, and I always felt like I'd give anything to be able to fit a whole 80GBs of storage in a neural implant like Keanu in "Johnny Mnemonic". It's only fitting that my fascination with rollerblading teenage hackers and black-ice console jockeys would lead me to pursue a career in software development. I want to make things that I can be proud of and know that I'm getting better each day. I've been a software developer for PioneerRx Pharmacy Software for almost 3 years now. In my time there, I've developed multiple cross-platform mobile applications with the Xamarin framework and have now spent the last year on the RxLocal web team building and maintaining both patient-facing and internal websites with Vue.js. I've also worked on multiple personal and school related projects.My flagship personal project is DangerousNFC, a native Android application that interfaces with human implantable NFC implants, of which I have 6. It is currently the only NFC application that can handle encrypted NDEF records, and I use it personally every day to keep my passwords and credentials safe within the confines of my own body.In my time as a developer, I've honed my ability to work on complicated and extensive team projects, learned to adhere to SOLID design principles, and become confident at writing coherent and effective documentation. I've become very comfortable with version control using both Git and TFVC. I'm always eager to learn new skills and hone the one's I have.
