Gran Tierra Energy (may 2013 – feb 2017)Brazil project support:• Schedule and cost controller (2mm+)• Automated the generation of cost reports per AFE. They analyze Actual Expenses, Committed Value and Accruals. This was done by programming an interface between Brazil’s MXM ERP and the reporting tool• Mapped the previous Project Controls processes, simplified them and increased the involvement and accountability of the project manager.Block 95 Facilities De-Mob project (3mm+):• Did daily schedule updates using Primavera, prepared look ahead, earned value reports, progress curves and critical route analysis. Always working closely with the field supervisors and management. The project was delivered on time.• Did daily cost reports, burn rates, resource tracking and accruals. Imposed strict contract compliance. The project was delivered under budget.• Took an active role in the pre-planning phase of project by helping define Scope, project execution plan and the detailed schedule. All of the project’s scope was accomplished according to plan.LTT Project (30mm+):• Did progress reports, as per the then newly developed “Project Delivery Process” guidelines• Performed schedule analysis. Integrated several of the contractor’s schedules, reported on delays and did critical route analysis to propose corrective measures.• Reported and tracked costs on a constantly evolving project.• Controlled the documentation and distribution of deliverables among contractors in a project full of interfaces. All contractors got the engineering deliverables as soon as they were produced Junior Cost Analyst:• AFE forecasting.• Linked the siloed purchases database with accounting information to follow up on execution, committed values and forecast.• Created and maintained local crude’s price database, bases on daily journal reports by Platts. This process is now mostly automatic.• Generated project schedule performance reports based on the accomplishment of milestones

Intern in the “Large Drives” business unit. My focus was to analyze and improve internal processes as well as to compile and analyze metrics to improve the business unit’s performance. My main accomplishments were:•Market analysis: programmed pattern recognition scripts to extract information from customs declarations to accurately understand our competitor’s performance on every market segment.•Quantitative demand analysis: Built a time series based regression model for demand. This allowed us to identify the market’s behavior, identify seasonality and forecast sales for each segment.•Rotation and Overstock analysis: Identified the rotation of each of the main product categories, useful to develop incentive programs.•Got rid of the biggest dollar ticket surplus item by selling it as spare parts and stopping the ongoing purchase of individual spares, this saved the client valuable downtime and allowed us to charge a hefty premium for quick delivery.•Mapped internal processes.*Developed the business unit’s performance reports.•Applied a statistical model for reordering, to avoid stock shortages and surpluses.
