About David Diaz

I have been designing and building computing systems—hardware and software—for over 20 years. I have worked across many domains, from hardware design and embedded systems to mobile and desktop applications and backend systems. I specialize in cross-domain systems, developing and integrating varied components across multiple domains to produce complex systems that may include embedded systems, backend components, web services, and mobile and desktop applications. In addition to broad experience with system and cloud architecture, I have experience developing firmware and software for SoCs, microcontrollers, and FPGAs; backend systems and web services using various languages and frameworks; containerized applications; as well as applications for macOS, iOS, tvOS, visionOS, Linux, and Android. I have specialized experience with digital video, professional audio, streaming, and WebRTC. Further, I am proficient in technical writing for documentation, intellectual property, and other types of publications.I am looking for a position in hardware, VLSI, FPGAs, firmware, control systems, low-level systems programming, and/or HPC. I have a strong interest in hard tech, especially in the areas of energy, climate, aerospace, space systems, robotics, precision manufacturing, and industrial control, as well as audio and video systems.I am a quick study and eager to learn and put into practice new technologies, with a strong interest in cutting-edge computing systems, heterogeneous computing, control systems, computer architecture, and digital and analog electronics. I am particularly well suited to problem-solving across multiple domains and platforms.I have been told on several occasions that I am remarkably efficient.
