Hi, my name is John Koenig, but some people call me Johnny or JohnnyCoho. I am 46 years old and owner of John's Guide Service here at: www.johns-guide-service.com. I am a second generation fishing and hunting guide and fifth generation Washingtonian living in the foothills of the wild and scenic northern Cascade Mountains of Rockport, WA with my beautiful wife Dawn Koenig.Rockport, a town with a population of less than 500, sits in the foothills of the scenic and wild northern Cascade Mountains. I live within walking distance of both the Sauk River and now world famous Skagit River.My family would tell you that I have been somewhat of a fishing and hunting nut since I was a child. Well, why not? I owe most of what I know to another professional guide, my grandfather; who passed on to me the love of the outdoors and the patience and understanding it takes to be a knowledgeable outdoors-man and guide.I have also tried my best to pass on that same love of the great outdoors to the twinkle in my eye and light of my life, my now 17 year old daughter Anjelika who many of you that have spent a summer day fishing with us has met as my deckhand, co-captain and fishing buddy. Anjelika has been running my boat since the age of five and has been my summer deckhand since the age of nine. Anjelika is also one of my favorite people in the world to hunt with as well and has an eye for wild game like no other... and always has. (I love you "Baby-Girl")I have been a full time fishing and hunting guide here in Washington for just about 20 years now and love taking others fishing and hunting just as much, if not more now, as I did almost 20 years ago.
