Michael Brennan is a dedicated advocate for cannabis reform, serving on the Board of Directors for the Coalition for Medical Marijuana of New Jersey (CMMNJ), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that defends the rights of cannabis patients across the state. With over 18 years of experience and personal insight as a disabled patient managing chronic pain and myelopathy, Brennan’s journey toward therapeutic botanicals stemmed from the ineffectiveness of traditional treatments and opiates. Cannabis therapy has since transformed his quality of life, sparking his passionate involvement in patient advocacy.In 2009, Brennan made history as the first witness for New Jersey’s clinical cannabis law and has since become a respected leader in the field, participating in media interviews, educational initiatives, and public events. He holds a NORML Leadership Certification and remains a prominent speaker at key industry events, including the New Jersey Cannabis Conference/ NECANN in Atlantic City. His advocacy extends to promoting home-grow rights as a featured speaker at rallies in Trenton, NJ.Committed to advancing the therapeutic use of cannabis and other plant-based medicines, Brennan’s work transcends state borders, earning him scholarships to national conferences such as the NORML Leadership Conference, Americans for Safe Access End Pain Not Lives Conferences, and the Patients Out of Time Conference. Beyond his cannabis advocacy, Brennan serves on the Board of Directors for Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND) in Burlington County, where he advocates for affordable housing solutions.
