Advanced Epi is a UK based semiconductor manufacturer specialising in epitaxial growth, material characterisation and novel device fabrication. We are able to supply a range of group IV semiconductor materials and work closely with customers to provide them with material to suit their needs.
Our patented cubic silicon carbide (3C-SiC) growth process allows us to grow high quality, thin films of 3C-SiC on silicon (Si) substrates using standard industrial growth systems found in the Si industry. Not only can we offer 3C-SiC/Si at low cost but the process can be fully integrated into current foundries and be scaled up to high volumes and wafer sizes. The process can be applied to other material substrates and has applications in harsh environment sensing, biomedical coatings, thermal management and as a suitable platform for gallium nitride growth.
In addition to our SiC material, Advanced Epi can also supply other high quality group IV epitaxial films including silicon and germanium as well as various alloys such as Si1-xBx, Si1-xCx, Si1-xGex, Ge1-xSnx...
