Alan Forrest has been working in the water industry for over 35 years with a primary focus on public utility operations and management. Alan has spent a majority of his career managing public water utilities, most recently as Director of Tucson Water, a municipally owned water utility located in Tucson, AZ that provides potable water service to a population of about 700,000 people. Mr. Forrest has worked in the private sector as a consulting engineer for two large engineering companies (CH2M Hill and HDR) for a period of about 10 years. He is a registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in the state of Arizona and obtained Certification as a Diplomate. In addition, Alan has been an active member in AWWA (and the Arizona Section - AZ Water) since 1994 and served on the AWWA Board of Directors as a Vice President from 2017-2019. He is currently working as an independent consultant having started his own company (AF Engineering PLLC) in August of 2020.
