Stable Ground In-Situ, LLC (SGI) is a geotechnical firm focused on providing advanced, accurate and timely in-situ soil testing services to aid in engineering design. Services include Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), Flat Plate Dilatometer Testing (DMT), In-Place California Bearing Ratio (CBR) Testing, Pressuremeter Testing (PMT) and Vane Shear Testing (VST). In addition to field services, SGI’s experienced Engineers are available for data analysis and general engineering consulting.
With other testing companies, there is no guarantee the person performing the test in the field has the knowledge and background in the test theory or geotechnical engineering as a whole. By utilizing SGI, you can rest assured that the data collection process is performed by a licensed Engineer knowledgeable in the test being performed and experienced enough to make engineering based decisions should conditions change in the field.
SGI was founded in 2021 by Fernando Garcia, P.E., D. GE and Ryan Ward, P.E. Two experienced Engineers that have performed thousands of soundings throughout the NE, Mid-Atlantic and beyond. Examples of prior successful sounding locations include residential and agricultural lots, active warehouse, roadways, railways, airports, industrial complexes, landfills, demolition sites, waterways, embankments, utility easements, dams, bulkheads, government and military sites and more.
SGI is available for projects throughout the East Coast.
