Alga-3 is a startup biotechnology company that seeks to address the big issues of modern resource production; sustainability and scalability. Alga-3 develops and builds stand-alone systems for the commercial production of microalgae and their diverse range of high value products. The use of algae based compounds is already wide-spread and expected to grow. Current uses of algae products include food, pharmaceuticals, fuels, lubricants, renewable chemical feedstocks and sustainable aquaculture and animal feeds. Algae represent a new means of primary production with lower resource requirements and a smaller footprint than traditional alternatives. With suitable agricultural land and resource scarcity becoming global issues, Alga-3 sees algae as providing long-term solutions and benefits to industry and to future generations.
