The Natural Algae Astaxanthin Association was founded around the promotion, protection, education and regulatory status of natural astaxanthin derived from Haematococcus pluvialis for use in food and dietary supplements. NAXA membership is open to any company that is a producer of natural astaxanthin derived from Haematococcus pluvialis.
The vision of NAXA is to help industry and regulators understand that not all materials marketed as astaxanthin are the same, and the research and science that is currently referenced regarding astaxanthin is from the natural astaxanthin forms derived from Haematococcus pluvialis. The mission of NAXA is to support NAXA members who are committed to the production and research of natural astaxanthin derived from Haematococcus pluvialis, while promoting health benefits, supporting public education and safety, and product quality and testing standards, while advancing government, healthcare and industry relations. Our mission and vision are advanced through an aggressive education campaign by partnering with leading industry experts and educators.
