Anam Cara is an all-island organisation founded by bereaved parents to support others who have experienced the death of a child, at any age and under any circumstances, for as long as they need them. We offer understanding, solace, and solidarity through a range of support services - free of charge and accessible to all who need them.
The death of a child is one of the most traumatic and devastating experiences a person can endure. Many bereaved parents report feeling isolated and alienated from friends, workplaces, and even their wider families, often at a loss for where to turn.
And there are thousands of families in Ireland who experience child loss each year.
Anam Cara exists to fill that gap, with understanding, connection, and hope.
