Arise Kollections Uganda LTD

Arise Kollections Limited (formerly Sseko Uganda) is a Ugandan based Youth led leather and textile value addition company. The company utilizes tanned leather from beef industry hides to manufacture high quality leather products like leather bags, sandals, accessories, jewelry, and apparel. The former manufacturing Arm of Sseko Designs LLC gained independence after the merger of Sseko LLC and Noonday Collections and aims to help create educational, economical and career opportunities for Ugandan women through leather addition. Through the handmade products, the women learn different skills and today more than 300 full time jobs have been created. (These women and young girls have moved on creating opportunities for themselves and their families/communities). On top of manufacturing high end quality bags, the company also runs a Gap Year Program that skills up youth during their Senior Six vacation. In the Uganda Education system, high school students wait idly for 10 months before they enroll into institutions of higher learning. We run a Gap year program where we train these youth life skills, hands on skill and career guidance to shape their decisions. More than 250 youths have gained life and entrepreneur skills plus university scholarships to pursue their career dreams. Arise’s mission is to empower Ugandan women through employment and educational opportunities while simultaneously creating beautiful and functional products that enable our customers to participate and feel connected to that empowerment process.
