About Atlas of Blackness

Atlas of Blackness is a grassroots multimedia artistic research-based organization that mentors current and former Black foster youth and Black youth impacted by the juvenile justice system under the age of thirty in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area by providing them with resources to document and preserve the stories of Black people. Our purpose is to ensure that these priceless stories are passed down to future generations, all while prioritizing accessibility, accountability, arts education, collaboration, and the preservation of untapped community knowledge.
