Autism Works is a not for profit trading subsidiary of the charity Education and Services for People with Autism (ESPA). Autism Works aims to bring dignity and happiness to people with a Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Aspergers Syndrome through sustainable employment in IT, and in particular software testing services. For many people with an ASC, being able to find a suitable job, being successful through a conventional interview process and retaining a job through developing positive working relations with colleagues can be very difficult in relation to difficulties with social skills, particularly non-verbal communication. Positive traits that an ASC presents which are clearly assets in the workplace, include: attention to detail, persistence, reliable, trustworthy, active and curious mind, little or no prejudice, diligence, conscientious, methodical and loyal.
